December 2021 Minutes
NOTES FROM FILLINGHAM PARISH MEETING
Monday, 6 December 2021 at Fillingham Village Hall
1. In Attendance: Margaret O’Grady (Chair), Peter O’Grady (Vice-chair), Cllr Roger Patterson, Dawn Greetham (Clerk) and four parishioners.
2. Apologies for absence: PCSO Julie McFaul, Glenn and Vicky Cargill and Alison Baldwin.
3. Declarations of Interest: None
4. Minutes of the last meeting: 1st November 2021 - unanimously approved and signed.
5. Matters arising from the minutes not covered elsewhere in the meeting: None.
6. Reports:
• Police: There have been no reported incidents.
• Finance: Proceeds from the Christmas Market of £405 has been paid in. Two invoices have been paid to EDF. The annual external playground check has been paid in the sum of £75 and the boiler service in the sum of £72. The parish has paid £150 for grass cutting. The coffee morning raised £8. Precept for year 2022/23 - It was agreed that the final estimate for the Parish precept will be raised to £5222 as previously discussed and this amount will be requested by the parish.
• Village Hall: The annual playground inspection by Wickstead has taken place but the report has not yet been received. The guttering above the defibrillator is leaking and entering the defibrillator casing. Margaret to request repair.
• Update on legal/land registry/charity status: This is still ongoing.
7. Correspondence: None
8. Parish/District/County Matters:
• The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations: It was agreed that a grant will be requested to celebrate the Jubilee. Discussions followed and it was suggested that the celebration take the place of the village fete with similar attractions. West Lindsey is also offering a tree to commemorate the occasion.
• Cllr Pattison informed the meeting that Lincolnshire Police now have a dedicated team of officers to deal with rural crime.
• Thanks were expressed to Judith Russell and her helpers for the Christmas Market and also to Nick Hall for the display of poppies for Remembrance Sunday.
• The West Lindsey charge for the green bin collection will be £39 for 2022/23. If you wish to continue this please apply to West Lindsey.
• Broadband update: Still awaiting information.
• Solar Farm: There has been no response as yet from Ingham/Willigham parish. A letter was sent to Cllr Boothroyd in September and the parish is awaiting a reply. A “Community Consultation Leaflet” has been sent to all residents to be returned by 15th December. Residents are asked to contract Cottom Solar Project individual feedback. However, the parish has responded with concerns.
9. Date of forthcoming event: Coffee morning 17th December,
10. Date of next meeting: There is no meeting scheduled for January 2022. The next meeting will be 7th February 2022 at 7.30pm.
