FILLINGHAM ANNUAL Meeting and PARISH MEETING MINUTES

AGM

The AGM was held prior to the Parish meeting and the following were voted into office:

PARISH MEETING

1.    WELCOME
The Chair welcomed people to the meeting and took apologies.
2.    NOTICE OF INTEREST
None Reported
3.    MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING  
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as a correct record. 
4.    MATTERS ARISING NOT ON THE AGENDA 
Drainage and Flooding – Work on the drainage system started on 10 May. The collapsed drain at the entrance to Ridge View has been repaired. Work will continue up the High Street with a network of old drains that are still in use, some of which discharge into the lake.
Village Hall – The village have had to pay out for the repairs and replacements and then claim these back from the insurance company. There is an excess of £250 to pay. Three quotes were requested for the re-decoration of the kitchen and ladies toilet after the damage, but only two were received. Quotes varied but the second quote was accepted. MO’G to contact the insurance company to ask f this is acceptable.
Defibrillator – A new defibrillator Model AED Power Heart G5 has been fitted. This includes a pack for children.  The machine itself gives instruction on how to use it with the first instruction being ‘call 999’.
Heritage Centre – No further information available on the request for a bus stop for the centre.
5    REPORTS
Finance Report
In the absence of the RFO the following was reported:
•    Outgoings in April included annual fee for the defibrillator, annual service for the Boiler and monthly utilities.
•    The internal audit has now been completed by Gary Whitelegg. The signing off of the annual accounts in readiness for the annual return was held over to the next meeting as the RFO was not in attendance at the meeting. Gary was thanked for his work on the internal audit.

6.    CORRESPONDENCE
No correspondence received in the past month.

7.    PARISH, DISTRICT, COUNTY MATTERS
7a. Parish Matters.
Parish Update – The playground has been inspected for this month and concern expressed at the amount of algae that is growing on some of the equipment. Contact has been made with the manufacturers and the company that undertakes the annual service for advice on eradicating the mould.
Thanks were expressed for the work undertaken by Maragret and Peter O’Grady as Chair and Vice Chair of the parish meeting. 
7b District Matters
No Report.
7c County Matters 
Gratitude expressed to Cllr Butroid for his support to the village while he was in office. There has been no information on the new incumbent.
8.    AOB 
Bus shelter at the top of the hill – The timetable has been removed and the waste bin at the side has been hit by a car. These issues have been reported. Case Ref 2843615
DATE OF NEXT MEETING – The next Parish Meeting, will be on Monday 2 June at 7.30pm 

Note: Farmers Market to be held 17 May in and around the village hall
