MINUTES

The Chair welcomed people to the meeting and took apologies.

5.    REPORTS
5a    Police report
Nothing to report for June
5c. Finance report
Parish Account - One payment of £462.50 paid the caterer for the Platinum Jubilee Event. 
Village Hall account - Income from coffee morning £11.80 and a payment for utilities £88.00
Parish Trust Account - No financial activity. 
Invoices Received
One invoice had been for £462.50, from the caterer for the Jubilee Celebration event

6.    VILLAGE HALL REPORT
6a. Playground – Nothing to report
6b. Replacement noticeboard – item deferred to the next meeting
7.    CORRESPONDENCE
7a. Memorial bench – The family have now purchased the bench in memory of Joyce, the village will arrange the fixing of the bench and a plaque. Discussion on the difficulty of getting a builder to undertake small jobs such as this and repair of a stone wall were recognised. The possibility of asking builders currently in the village will be explored.
7b. Parish matters – Letter and invoice for £274.80 received from Chatterton’s solicitors for the task of drafting the Memorandum of Choice and Appointment. It was noted that after 12 months we are still waiting for the work to be completed. It was therefore agreed that the solicitors would be informed that the invoice would be paid when the work has been completed
8.    PARISH, DISTRICT, COUNTY MATTERS
8a Parish 
Broadband – it was reported that the fund available to cover the installation of broadband will close on 17 July. In order to update Openreach on the number of residents supporting the scheme an email was circulated to all properties in the village. Pledges have been received from a number of interested parties and this information has been forwarded to Openreach who will hopefully process our application before the deadline. Cllr Butroid asked that the Broadband officer for Lincolnshire County Council be updated on the status of the application.
Solar Farms update – Consultation meeting held recently at Morton Village Hall which was attended by the Chair and Vice Chair of FP meeting. Concern expressed at the unsubstantiated claims for 30% of energy generated but in reality, more likely to be much lower average across the year. Online stage two consultation scheduled for July 12th. Consultation ends on 27 July. There is a local campaign for a farmland protection policy with a deadline of 24 July and 10,000 signatures are required by 24 July.
9b West Lindsey District
Cllr Patterson had sent in his report and the chair read it out for the meeting. Information on one of the directors of the Cottam and West Burton planned solar farms CR Killeen – residing in Spain and director of 60 companies. Cllr Patterson is proposing to put a motion to the Deputy Leader of the Central Lincolnshire Local Planning Committee re prioritising food production over the installation of the planned solar farms.
9.    AOB
9a. Work on the drains - work on the drains on High St is scheduled to mitigate regular flooding and hazard. Possible request for the road at that point to be widened.
9b. Speeding on Rectory Lea – There have been a number of incidences of speeding on Rectory Lea. Information on this to be passed to the local PCSO.
9c. Footpath on the hill out of the village – The surface of the recently repaired footpath is to be sealed during July.
