FILLINGHAM PARISH MEETING MINUTES
 5 February 2024

1.    WELCOME
The Chair welcomed people to the meeting and took apologies.
2.    NOTICE OF INTEREST
None Reported
3.    MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING  
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as a correct record. 
4.    MATTERS ARISING NOT ON THE AGENDA 
Village Hall Windows –Now complete with the exception of 1 windowpane in the store room. The windows now need to be painted as soon as possible.
Drainage and Floods – The Chair keeps reporting issues on Willingham Road, a response has been received from a Senior Highways Officer who has sent a drainage map and has attended to look round and agreed to organise jetting out to look for the problem, The work is on order. The Chair is liaising with Anglian Water regarding the issue of sewage. It was noted that some farmers are less vigilant than other in respect to the clearing of the dykes.
Playground – The annual inspection report highlighted damage to the rubber matting under the swing. Replacement cost to supply and install this is quoted at £488.40. To be discussed further at next meeting.
Street Lights – Street light No 8 request not turn off at night Ref 4188766 
Fly tipping - reported on Willingham Road has now been cleared.
5    REPORTS
5a. Finance Report
Village Hall – Money has been received for two bookings. The Utility bills have been paid.
Parish Account – LALC membership £54.54 paid. Annual subscription for the Defibrillator £100 to WLDC paid.
6.    CORRESPONDENCE
Letter of thanks sent to Rose Estates for the donation and removal of the village Christmas tree.
7.    PARISH, DISTRICT, COUNTY MATTERS
7a. Parish Matters.
Dog bin – Broken dog bin has been repaired by a dog owner.
Streetlights – No 3 on Rectory Lea is on in the daylight. This has been reported ref: 492115.
Celebration - 80th Anniversary of D Day Thursday 6 June.  Church bells will be ringing across the Country at 9.15pm. There was a discussion about whether we would like to light a lamp to commemorate this event, to be considered.
Solar – Further examination hearings will take place during the week commencing 5th of February relating to West Burton. The 7,000 Acres group will be there throughout. The Gate Burton Scheme is now with the Examining Authority pending a decision recommendation which will be put to the Secretary of State and the Cottam scheme will follow when the examination closes on 5th March. No further information available the Tillbridge Scheme.
7b District Matters
8.    AOB – Offer of donation of a projector screen for the village hall which will be considered in the light of space available.
RAF Ingham - official opening in April, date to be confirmed.
